Thank you to everyone to supported and participated in our 2025 Annual Convention!
The event was held August 22-23, 2025 at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. The event took place in the Nelson Wolff Exhibit Ballroom.
The weekend kicked off on Thursday with a TDA Board Meeting, where our new Executive Committee was elected. Nash Murray was elected as President, Jody Phillips rolled over to Immediate Past President, Brad Hassig as Vice President, Hank Corbell as Treasurer, and Chris Methner as Secretary.
Friday consisted of a NADR Board Meeting and GMS Presenttion, Genomic Resistance Update by Dr. Chris Seabury (Texas A&M University), TPWD Rules and Reguolations Discussion with Alan Cain (Director of Wildlife Division at TPWD), How to Effectively Advocate - Legislator Panel with Hon. Jeff Barry, Hon. Brad Buckley, Hon. Stan Gerdes, Hon. Armando Martinez, and Hon. Eddie Morales. Other activities include cornhole competition, games, and Bucks & Does children game.
Saturday we had a Legislative Update by Hon. Will Metcalf, Hon. Ryan Guillen, and TDA Exceutive Director, Chris Paddie. We had a Wildlife & Fisheries Biologist Panel by Chris Methner (Blessed Bayou), Lin Poor (Texas Wildlife Management), and Macy Ledbetter (Spring Creek Outdoors). Following that we had a Herd Health & Fawn Care seminar by Dr. Luke Duckworth (Southern Veterinary Services) and Dayden Shaffer (The Velvet Standard). We also had a cornhole championship, EC recognition, Scholarship Receipients recognized, Auction, and raffle drawings following the conclusion of the sales.
We can't thank all of our sponsors, consignors, buyers, donors, exhibitors, attendees, and many more who contributed towards the success of the 27th Annual Convention. We enjoyed getting to see everyone interact in meaningful conversations over the course of the weekend and have so many industry leaders who share a common bond for Texas wildlife and habitat conservation.
