The Texas Deer Association is looking for a 2024 Summer Intern!
Responsibilities Include, but aren't limited to:
- Communicating with hotel staff and event exhibitors
- Coordinating logistics of event exhibitors (including load in and load out) and security
- Answering calls to TDA relating to Convention (registration, exhibit booth, sponsorship opportunities, hotel reservations, etc.)
- Managing hotel reservations, including bookings and cancellations
- Responsible for the operations of the registration desk when open during the weekend of Convention
- Assisting with duties for the Executive Director, Director of Operations, and Director of Marketing and Advertising
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in college
- Must be a self-starter and self-sufficient
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Wanting to learn the business of a non-profit trade organization
- Prior experience in event planning is a bonus
Compensation and Terms:
- $20 / hour
- 20-30 hours a week
- Beginning of June to end of August (exact dates to be discussed)
- Remote Position
- Must be available in San Antonio from August 15-18, 2024
